The Lodge
Cable Nature Lodge is a handsome 6400 square foot structure that combines a beautiful blend of rustic elegance with modern amenities. Rough sawn cedar and knotty pine paneling distinguish the exquisitely appointed guest rooms and common areas, along with vaulted ceilings, tile and wood laminate floors, and field stone fireplaces. All seven guest rooms are located on the upper level of the lodge with large windows overlooking the surrounding forest. The Rookery Pub, one of the finest restaurants in the Cable area, is located on the lower level of the lodge.
Our Splendid Setting
From the lodge a short stroll will bring you to the peaceful shores of North Twin Lake, a natural lake in the national forest untouched by jet skis and speed boats. Just a mile down the road you’ll find the Rock Lake hiking and ski trail, along with a trailhead for the Midwest’s renowned CAMBA off-road bike trail system. Less than two miles in the other direction lies a lovely little park at the headwaters of the Namakagon River, one of the first federally designated Wild and Scenic Rivers in the country, and well known for great fishing and canoeing. Hiking, biking, canoeing, golfing, fishing, skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling — name your favorite outdoor adventure and you’ll likely find it within a short walk or drive of Cable Nature Lodge.
